Terms and Conditions
Registration and Fees
-
A £25 registration fee is payable for all new students upon joining the School. This fee covers the administration and registration of the student and is non-refundable.
-
All fees must be paid to the School by the payment date stated on the relevant invoice. Where payment is not received by the due date, the School reserves the right to apply a late-payment surcharge.
-
All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where specifically stated otherwise within these terms and conditions.
-
Fees are charged on a full-term basis and cover the scheduled classes for that term. No discounts, credits or refunds will be given for individual classes missed by a pupil, regardless of the reason for the absence, including holidays, illness, school commitments or other personal circumstances.
Cancellations and Changes to Classes
-
Every effort will be made to ensure that classes take place as scheduled. If a teacher is unavailable and a suitable supply teacher cannot be arranged, the missed class will be carried forward and offered on an alternative date.
-
Where it is not possible to rearrange a cancelled class, the School will refund the fee relating to that particular scheduled class.
-
If the School’s usual venue is unavailable or closed due to circumstances beyond the School’s reasonable control, the School will endeavour to arrange an alternative date or venue where possible. Where an alternative class cannot reasonably be provided, the School will advise parents of the arrangements to be made.
Discontinuing Classes
-
Pupils wishing to discontinue their classes at the School must provide at least half a term’s written notice.
-
If the required notice is not provided, parents will remain liable for fees equivalent to the relevant half-term notice period, whether or not the pupil continues to attend classes during that period.
Contact Details
-
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that the School has accurate and up-to-date contact information.
-
The School must be notified promptly, and in writing where appropriate, of any changes to contact details, including telephone numbers, email addresses, home addresses or emergency contacts.
Photography and Video
-
From time to time, the School may take photographs or video recordings of students participating in classes, workshops, presentations, performances or other School activities.
-
These images or recordings may be used for legitimate School promotional and publicity purposes, including the School’s website, social media, flyers, brochures, advertising materials and information relating to future productions.
-
Parents/guardians who do not wish their child to be photographed or recorded for these purposes should notify the School in writing. The School will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the child is not included in promotional photographs or recordings.
Parents and Class Attendance
-
Parents and guardians are not permitted to observe regular classes, except during an agreed trial lesson. This is to minimise distractions and allow pupils to participate fully and confidently in their classes.
-
Parents will have the opportunity to see their child’s progress during designated end-of-term presentation classes, where applicable.
-
The School reserves the right to restrict or amend parent observation arrangements where necessary to protect the learning environment, pupil wellbeing, privacy or safeguarding requirements.
